why should you travel?

Travelling is one of the most beautiful things that you can do. Every time I travel I feel like I’ve read 4 different books and have a new mindset to bring to my everyday life.

Travelling isn’t just getting on a plane and seeing somewhere new—though that is a big part of it.

It’s also the planning, the bonding, the packing, the arrangements, and then either choosing to have an exact plan for each day you’re away or allowing yourself to flow.

You can go with friends, with a partner, parents or solo. There are endless possibilities to travelling and I think this is a huge part of what brings people to it. It’s thrilling, it’s endless, and you can learn so much about yourself and the world in one trip.

In conversations, I can always tell who has travelled outside of their town, their province/state, or their country. It’s obvious who has seen something completely different than themselves, and who has only stayed with people who are like them.

Those who choose adventure are usually more open-minded, tolerate of others beliefs, and happy to share cultural exchanges—which is something beautiful and something I have adapted in my everyday life that is refreshing to see.

When you travel, you realize that you aren’t actually that different from your neighbour.

Every human has fundamental things that are important to them: laughing, loving, eating good food and having a safe space to sleep.

That’s literally it. It’s so simple yet it connects each and every one of us and it is something that I have learned through travelling, and sitting with people who are completely different than me.

So yes, you should absolutely book that trip. You are going to learn, expand and see things differently than you do now. And what’s even better is you can bring all of those new things back home and show others.
